The Death and Life of Great American Cities

By Jane Jacobs. Enlightening even now even though first published in 1961 to read Jacobs' critique of conventional planning thinking, still evident today in Wellington and around the country, especially around roading. But a great read and a must for those interested in how you build a city for people, not just experts.
