Thanks to all the businesses who gave up their time tonight to meet councillors and the mayor to talk about engagement issues. Clear message, most people wanted to talk through substantial issues like earthquake strengthening and broadband.
This was in contrast to the NGOs who had a quite approach. Many of them had dealt with Council before and had constructive suggestions about how to improve the way we deal with different communities. More meetings will definitely need to be set up to deal with some of the substantive issues participants raised tonight.
