Wellingtonians resist water meters

Reported today in The DomPost that Wellingtonians don't like water meters. This should come as no surprise. There has been consistent opposition to them because people see them as part of a privatisation agenda. They don't make that much economic sense either. They are expensive to install and operate and difficult if not impossible to incentivise people to save water as you still need to cover the fixed costs of your water infrastructure.
