New Wellington Rating Valuations

I was concerned about the potential for bad news in this area but was relieved to hear that there has been a negligible decrease in the value of properties throughout Wellington over the last three years. This is good news given the challenges we face around earthquake buildings and a difficult economic climate.

There are obvious issues around commercial buildings but hopefully they will continue to be a smaller part of the overall picture. In the meantime however, concerted action needs to be taken to ensure the insurance companies charge a fair rate.
