I love this house in Epuni Street, Aro Valley. This is one of the best streets in Aro Valley with its wonderful heritage buildings. The stark contrast of such a moderm building works brilliantly.
I'm a strong heritage advocate and don't support demolishing old buildings but if there is a gap or a building can't be saved, I think the right solution is the one developed here. No faux heritage but the best in contemporary design which may in turn become the heritage of tomorrow.
