A new tavern is to be opened in Porirua by business man Neil Patel who also owns a dairy in the Aro Valley.
I note this on the day that WCC votes on its Draft Alcohol Policy and the fact that there have been objections because of concerns around the location of bars in sensitive areas.
This is an area that will be closely scruitinised by the new District Licensing Committees. Will wait to see with interest the outcome of this story.
