My answer: yes. Unclear about Genesis' perspective that the market is saturated with generators at the moment so there is no need to go ahead with building a new wind farm in the Wairarapa at the moment (they have just won consent to do so).
There is such a strong need to move towards renewables, the question really is why isn't it more economic to do so.
I acknowledge some of the negative impacts on locals surrounding wind farms but in this case think that mitigation is the best response given the urgent need to move away from fossil fuels.
