Do you get STV?

A helpful piece from Graeme Edgeler on the basics.

All of Wellington City will be using STV now that Greater Wellington Regional Council has adopted the system.

It is very simple to vote, all you need to do is order candidates in order of preference, you can however vote strategically and this is where it gets interesting. Will be curious to see if many people do decide to vote in a particular way to get the candidates that they want.
