Think big from the university? Yep, a good idea

Well done to Vic for being ambitious and expanding space on their quite cramped campus. Expanding the basis for international and local students makes sense.

But a small note of caution that the expansion shouldn't come at the expense of existing residents or students. Expansion plans by the university past and current have at time created conflict in the community. Furthermore, international students are a good thing but our resident student population needs to come first. Chasing the big dollars that international students pay shouldn't mean that there is any risk of neglecting our own. Photo courtesy of Victoria University
