Time to talk about a ban on cars in the Golden Mile

Great to hear Mayor Celia Wade-Brown talking about preventing private vehicles using Courtenay Place at certain times and definitely time to talk about banning cars from the Golden Mile as a whole. I don't agree that we should ban public transport, this would definitely be the way to kill it (and light rail would be great rather than buses) but we need to look at alternative routes for cars that have to come into town, without clogging these roads up. Public consultation will be critical.
