Dr Kevin Lavery our new CEO has ambitions for Wellington. He has laid out some of his thinking about how Wellington needs to develop. Some of the ideas are not new but I appreciate the energy in which he is tackling his new job.
Keen to invest some serious money in Wellington. Kevin is thinking about how we can save millions out of the city's budget to pay for some big ticket items. More borrowing may raise some eyebrows, but we don't borrow anywhere near as much as we could so there is some potential.
The idea of amalgamating some CCOs is also an interesting one, a good way to save some money.
