If there is an emergency, you may be using a composting toilet after a successful trial in Wellington reports The Dominion Post today. Civil Defence ran the trial and found a number of people preferred the composting toilets to portable toilets or chemical ones.
The Wellington Regional Emergency Office is now talking to Councils in Wellington about them as an option for when there is an emergency.
Good thinking from WREMO, look forward to seeing more of these adopted by businesses as well and maybe a few homeowners as well.
