Slightly concerning article in The Dominion Post today about how many of our bottles are actually being recycled (according to one estimate only around 40%).
So many people are really committed to recycling now. It is critical that this system is not undermined by recyclers not actually recycling. Consumers need accurate information about what is happening to their waste.
Recycling can be a lucrative business so recyclers are not just in it for good environmental reasons.
