Disappointing that the Hutt did not increase its contribution to the Regional Amenities Fund but this does not mean that amalgamation should follow as The Dominion Post today argues.
More robust processes needed at the Mayoral Forum and Zone 4 to look at how we can work together more effectively. The region needs to understand that if there is failure to do this that amalgamation may be forced on us.
