I'm raising the question in response to our CEO's comments in the Pre-election report just presented to councillors.
There is nothing to disagree with to some extent, decision making should be agile and decisive, but we have to remember that Councils are not board and there is robust debate because at times we will not all be philosophically aligned. We should be wary of being pushed into a corporate model, this is fundamentally wrong for democratically elected councillors.
