Council is working hard to resolve leaky homes in Wellington. This was an avoidable crisis mostly caused by inept government legislation. Councils are in a difficult position as "the last man standing" after developers, architects and engineers go bust.
Nevertheless, we must take responsibility if there is fault and it is good to know that we have made provision to meet such claims in our Long Term Plan.
