Front page story in The Dom today highlights issues around water quality at Wellington beaches. As I say in the newspaper, the picture is more complex that what might appear in some of our topline figures. Data is based on sampling days, does depend somewhat on how much rain there is and how much runoff there is.
Information to be released soon shows that we are doing ok but there is room for improvement in a few specific areas.
We are looking at putting more money into cleaning up our water, feedback welcome on where the priorities should be.
